Is the COVID isolation getting a bit much? Is your other half just not that bothered about the Sewing Bee? Well, before you bin them off after lockdown, join one of our Virtual Sewcials and meet me and other sewers and have a chat whilst doing your sewing! (In my experience, not much sewing will get done, but that's ok too!!)
To take part, you will need to download the Zoom app on your device beforehand and you will be sent an invitation to the Sewcial by me. Just follow the link at the set time and as if by internet magic, you'll be part of the Sewcial! I am the "Host" of the Sewcials, so you only need the free version of Zoom.
Things to note before joining...
- We only want positivity in our Sewcials so bad behaviour will not be tolerated. I am the self-appointed Sewcial Master and I do have the authority to remove anyone if they cause any beef! (Oooh, the power!!!!)
We don't want faceless individuals, so if you're not comfortable showing your face on screen or you don't have a device with a camera, then unfortunately this isn't for you.
- If you book a space and then you find you can't join in, please let me know ASAP so your space can be offered to someone else.
- I don't even pretend to be tech-savvy so please use me as a last resort if you're struggling to use Zoom!!
- This isn't a mini version of Ideal World. Please do not use the Sewcials for promoting any third party goods, services or events. Again, I will exert my power as Sewcial Master and you will be gone if this happens!
We can do all we can to make the Sewcials as secure as possible; they will be password protected and screen sharing will be disabled, but obviously things can happen on the internet but we can't be held liable for any security breaches.

Following restrictions imposed by the UK government on 24/3/20, we have had to close our bricks and mortar store but for the time being, we are still able to trade online. (Yay!) We have reduced our UK Free Shipping rate to applu to all orders over £5.00. As it is necessary for us to minimise travel as much as possible, we will be fulfilling online orders twice a week, which will mean that there may be a slight delay in your order being processed. As always, you will be sent an email confirmation when your order is on its way.
Once you place an order Monday to Friday, we always endeavour to despatch it within 48 hours and any orders placed over the weekend will be despatched on Tuesday.

We offer free economy delivery to Europe on all orders over £75 and to the rest of the world on orders over £100.
All items sent internationally will be via a tracked Royal Mail or courier service.
Items posted to countries outside of the EU may have customs charges that are the buyer’s responsibility to pay.
Royal Mail does not consider a parcel lost unless it has been missing 15 days in the UK, 20 days in Europe or 25 days in the rest of the world. If after this period has ended you have not received your parcel, please contact us at email@example.com
All sales of fabric, gift cards, workshops and special order items are final. If you change your mind on any other item, a full refund will be given if you return it in its original condition and packaging within 10 days of purchase. Returns after this period and within 28 days of purchase will be exchanged for store credit only. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Fabric should be inspected by you for flaws upon receipt and before you pre-wash it. Unfortunately we cannot offer any refunds on fabric that has been pre-washed as the damage could have occurred in the washing machine and/or tumble dryer.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at email@example.com and send your item to: Fabricate, 146 Huddersfield Road, Mirfield GB WF14 8AN.
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
Payment in full is required at the time of your booking to secure your place. Unfortunately we are unable to reserve places without payment.
If you find you can’t come 2 weeks or more before the start of your course then we will do our best to fill your spot, in which case you will receive a refund, less 25% administration charge. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds for cancellations with less than 2 weeks’ notice.
We do not offer partial refunds if you find you can’t attend one of the sessions in a course, so please make sure you can attend ALL sessions before committing to the booking.
