Workshop Hire

If you fancy running your own workshop in our fabulous space, here are the deets:

  • Hire fee is £20 per hour and includes the use of kitchen facilities and basic refreshments such as tea, coffee, water and biscuits. This fee excludes the use of workshop equipment, such as sewing machines, irons etc.
  • Additional £5 per hour for use of workshop equipment (includes 6 x Janome sewing machines, 1 x overlocker, 3 x irons and ironing boards, 6 x dressmaking scissors, 6 x paper cutting scissors, general sewing equipment)
  • 10% deposit required to secure date of booking and the balancing payment is due 3 days prior to the start of the workshop
  • Cancellation/date change fees:

7 days or more notice: 25% of booking fee
Less than 7 days but more than 3 days: 50% of booking fee
Less than 3 days: 100% of booking fee

  • You must have valid public liability insurance and a copy of your certificate must be provided upon booking the workshop space for the first time
  • You are responsible for any breakages/damages to premises or workshop equipment, kitchen and toilet facilities caused by you or anyone attending the workshop and will be charged for accordingly
  • The workshop space must be left in the same condition as it was found. General cleaning is included in the workshop hire fee, however excessive cleaning (such as stain removal) is not included and will be charged for accordingly
  • We can accommodate up to 12 attendees, depending on how you would like to use the workshop space. If you need to use the sewing machines etc. we can only accommodate up to 6 attendees
