I'm back with another great free pattern for you to try!

Philippa asked me to look for something for men but I thought I'd go one better than that with a pattern that is suitable for everyone! The Adult Classic PJ & Nightgown set is a fantastic multi size pattern which can be made in knit or woven fabric. If you don't fancy sticking tons of pages together we can print it off for you here.

You can make the classic style of PJs with full length trousers & a button up shirt with lapels or extend the length of the shirt to become a nightshirt with options for short or long sleeves. Alternatively, it can be made in knit fabric with a crew neck & cuffs, again with full length bottoms or extended into what is essentially a long T-shirt. In fact you could even use the pattern to make a T-shirt!

The PJ set has been drafted for 2 heights,  either 5'5" & 5'10", so no faffing about having to lengthen the pattern pieces if you are taller than average, which let's face it can be a pain & hands up who always forgets to lengthen sleeves?!

This  pattern was drafted for a straight, loose fit with 11 sizes ranging from  32" up to a 62" chest with a maximum hip size of 63".

This is classed as an easy pattern with a video tutorial to help you out if you get stuck. If you've never tried a collar or buttons & buttonholes before this a great pattern to learn some new skills as if you bodge it up, you're only going to bed in them - who's going to know!

The amount of fabric that you need depends on the size you make & what option you decide on, so be sure to check their yardage chart before buying, but if you were making the woven nightshirt for example between 2.5 & 3 metres should be ample.

Fabric suggestions are wide & varied from Flannel to Cotton Lycra, from Rayon to Fleece, French Terry, Viscose, Satin, Silk, and Satin-like fabrics.

We've got some gorgeous Shetland Mammoth flannels from Robert Kaufman, which would be perfect for making a comfy set of PJs!

If you're not always cold like me & want something a bit less snuggly, either this Blue & White Micro Stripe coor the Check Me Out cotton lawn would be perfect for Spring & Summer.

For the jersey options, nothing says nightwear more than sloths and we've even got the perfect hot pink cotton jersey from John Louden if you fancy a contrast for the cuffs & neckband. Or go wild with a Robert Kaufman Wild & Free cotton jersey covered with hot pink & purple tigers.
And finally if you fancy something a bit slinky we've got this lovely Bold Flower stretch polyester - just make sure you haven't got satin sheets on or you'll fly straight out of the other side of the  bed!
I hope you've got some ideas for whipping up some of these fab PJs - why not make some as gifts; Mother's Day is just around the corner & handmade gifts are always better than a bunch of daffys from Asda!
Oh & as an extra bonus Ellie & Mac have thrown in a free sleep mask pattern for you to sew up too - how good is that?!
Ok, that's it from me this time, I'll be back next week with another free pattern. Sleep tight - don't let the bed bugs bite!
